I took this class my senior year and I have never had a professor I loved more! Simone was the absolute best and the class was great!! Lots of readings but all the content was engaging and the lectures were full of thoughtful discussion

One of the BEST professors I've ever had at UW. Everyone MUST take a class with her, she is such an angel and is so passionate and knowledgeable about what she does.

Simone is such a kind professor and set very clear standards for the class right at the beginning. This class was very thought provoking, relied on talking with your peers a ton, and had many great guest speakers throughout. Used contract grading, so if you did the assignments with effort and showed up to class, you're sure to get a good grade.
