Lecture materials and assignment felt very unprepared. There was little to no lecture plans, and discussions were repetitive. Very little instructions for multiple 10+ page papers. Cannot pass course without perfect attendance and final (each 33% grade). Would not recommend, work load is not worth it.Rate My Professors ↗

What students say
Original student reviews · all captured dates
Professor White is a brilliant and caring professor who is invested in helping students learn about food systems and social justice. If you don't care about the material you can still get a good grade, but where she really shines is in supporting students to find their passion. Read the material and show up ready to ask questions, it is worth it!Rate My Professors ↗
Really nice professor, only a 3 easy essays and a single homework assignment. The class isn't bas so long as you go to lectures, and Professor White makes a really good effort to be as engaging as possible. Also weekly mandatory discussions with participation graded.Rate My Professors ↗
LOVED her. shes so passionate about everything she's talking about and has taught me so much. loves to discuss with her students rather than just talk at them. understands a lot about the world. her lecture slides are a bit unorganized so its important to pay attention. majority of grade is 3 essays, very broad, super easy to do wellRate My Professors ↗
Prof White is very engaging and cares a lot about the well being her students. Her passion for the material is very apparent and I looked forward to going to lecture. Course material is very interesting however lectures are a little unorganized which made writing essays with a vague prompt challenging.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor White is an amazing women! She has a great personality that makes otherwise rather dull topics much more interesting. Sometimes has guest lecturers, and has daily readings to do. Three take home essay exams, and one partnered project. Discussions are mandatory but the TAs make them fun and interestingRate My Professors ↗
