Interesting personality, nice guy and good prof. I took this class freshman year and my two biggest things were 1. The tests (which are entirely essay-based and long ones at that) required a lot of recall of difficult texts. 2. The class was a power lecture and had no discussion, but you were required to participate enough to receive a good grade.Rate My Professors ↗

Professor Brockliss is amazing. His lectures are super engaging, and he takes the time go over the readings which can be really complex and difficult to understand. The lectures are very collaborative, he frequently asks for our thoughts and ideas on texts and images. The class itself is super interesting as well due to the way he teaches it.Rate My Professors ↗
This class was really interesting, but way more work than I anticipated. I took this as a schedule filler, and it ended up giving more work than some of the classes towards my major. Prof Brockliss is super knowledgable and makes lectures pretty engaging. I would definitely recommend this class but be aware of the amount of work going into it!Rate My Professors ↗
Prof Brockliss is a great professor (and is british). The class is very lecture and reading heavy but they are both engaging and if you love mythology it doesn't really feel like work. The exams are formatted similar to a AP English test but are very manageable.Rate My Professors ↗
Class grew on me throughout the semester. If you pay attention in class + do the notes you won't really have to study for the exams at all. Exam style is similar to a DBQ/LEQ on an AP exam for comparison. Had no TA for my class so he did all the grading himself, was a fair grader + left good feedback.
