Professor Hall is one of the best in the History program. Fantastic lectures and readings, you will learn a lot in any of his courses. I took three of his, including my capstone. Accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. Lectures are heavy showing up and note-taking is a must.Rate My Professors ↗

long lectures, no rubrics. very high standardsRate My Professors ↗
Hall is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate. However, this class is designed primarily for ROTC members, and as a non-member, it can feel a bit isolating and daunting. While it was overall insightful and interesting, I wouldn't recommend it for that key reason.Rate My Professors ↗
Amazing professor, definitely take this class!Rate My Professors ↗
Hall is a very good professor. He knows a lot and cares about students just as much. His lectures are interesting and the humor he injects every once in a while makes students feel at ease. This shouldn't be understated considering his mightily intimidating resume. I recommend taking his honors section--learn as much as you can from him!Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Hall's lectures are cool, the content is very interesting, and I leaned a ton from this class. Definitely sign up for his honors discussion, its worth it. However, he is an extremely tough grader; I put a lot of time and effort into my term paper and he said my work was gross in his feedback, I didn't like that very much.Rate My Professors ↗
