Professor Bloch is genuinely passionate about the content and students being involved in it. Honestly feel like my final grade was determined mostly by my lecture attendance and engagement (although this is what he states he hopes students find for the exams/class). Literally show up to lecture and listen and you'll be fine.Rate My Professors ↗

The content is super interesting and Professor Bloch is passionate about it. Lectures could be boring sometimes though.Rate My Professors ↗
I found BB to come off as caring to the general class but once you want to speak with him about an idea or a grade he can be dismissive and rather rude. Definitely a class I would like to get back.Rate My Professors ↗
BJB is one of the best profs at UW - so genuinely cares about students' learning.Rate My Professors ↗
The professor is a very nice and understanding guy. He's fun to talk to and listen to. Sometimes his lectures could be a tad dry, but He's also a fairly easy grader and gives useful and actionable feedback. The class ends in a large research paper (10-12 pages), so make sure not to do all that in one night to ease stress.Rate My Professors ↗
Very good professor, it's a decently sized lecture with over 100 students, and he makes a point to get to know you personally by introducing himself multiple times throughout the semester before class officially begins. Incredibly nice man who's very approachable, would definitely take him again.Rate My Professors ↗
