Nice class

Professor Stolz is a very nice guy, and teaches a very easy class. Rarely went to lecture and very easily secured an AB. Do the assignments and you will be fine and will likely get an A in this class. Class material is rather uninteresting, but very easy to keep up with the few assignments that you will have.

HIST139 with Stolz is very easy, just 2 papers the entire term, come and discuss for discussion. And no tests.

I loved Prof. Stolz and his class. The readings were sometimes long, but usually not 'hard' per se. He was very responsive to my emails if I ever had any questions. His slides are a little sparse by design, so I'd recommend coming to class, since a lot of the details are relayed verbally. He made the content interesting and relevant, too.

Great prof. Lectures were always very interesting as well as the weekly readings. He makes sure that you have a strong understanding of the thematic connection between periods and topics. Extremely knowledgeable on the topic and you can tell how interested he is in sharing his knowledge.

Dr. Stolz really cares that his students learn and do well! He gives great feedback and is willing to help outside of class. Class was always fun and engaging, and he always made the content seem interesting and relevant!

He is such a good professor that clearly cares about his students and how they are doing in his class. He wants to make sure you understand the material and how it all connects. He is more worried about you understanding the themes of the class instead of memorizing dates, which I really loved. He goes fast in lecture so take fast notes.

I loved Professor Stolz's pre-recorded video lecture style. He is really caring and loves to have outside conversations if the subject interests you. The class is not difficult and if you follow along with his lectures, it will be smooth sailing.

I took History 201: Technology and Revolution in the Middle East with professor Stolz. The class was interesting, the homework was reasonable, and professor Stolz was really good. He really does care about his students and is more than willing to help or answer questions about assignments, and he gives detailed and useful feedback on assignments.

Amazing teacher. Somehow manages to make lectures interesting/relatable and still get out as much info as possible. The class really gives you a broad understanding of the modern Middle East. Outside readings seem like a lot at first but really aren't that bad. Not 100% necessary but really helped with understanding lectures and big picture
