About this rating

Raw average: 4.04/5 from 25 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

There are readings that you need to do before every lecture and like others said you never know which reading will be talked about because she only talks about two. Attendance matters same with doing the top hat and the small group things at the end of every lecture they're not bad but I definitely skipped a lot and it impacted...

Attendance is required for participation credit, but if you contact in advance you'll likely be excused you just have to do makeup work. Readings can be a lot but you can get by just fine if you miss a few.

Quality 2/5Difficulty 2/5
She gives so much readings, but in lecture, she'll only talk about 1 or 2 of the readings so there isn't a point in reading all of it, but you never know which one you talk about in class so it is good but also pointless to read everything.

So many readings in such a short time. I had 3 days to watch a movie and read 4 different articles, and it's like this before every lecture, and are required. It's hard to make time for all this when you're taking several other challenging classes. I'd stay away from this class for whatever you're trying to fill. Or at least away from this prof.

Rania Huntington assigns heavy required readings before every lecture, which reviewers find difficult to manage. Students report frustration that she only discusses one or two texts in class, creating uncertainty about which materials are essential for participation.
