Barbara is a good person and a good teacher. Just wish the class was not almost all participation.

Barbara is awesome. As long as you participate somewhat, you will do well. She is very caring and helpful. She made Spanish fun and interesting while still helping us learn a lot. Would take her again.

Barbara is fantastic. She is super engaging, and class went by quickly because she made it fun. She is so kind and I learned so much in her class. 100% would have her as a professor again. side note: take notes on the mindtap activities when it is teaching you something. It doesn't take long and it was really helpful when studying for tests.

Barbara was absolutely excellent. She truly cares about her students' success. She is very flexible and accommodating as well. In 203 participation and attendance is everything, as long as you actively participate and show up to class, it is super easy. Sometimes the course material gets bland, but she does a great job making it fun and relatable!

I absolutely loved her! She gave me several extra resources to catch up on my conjugation and is so willing to put in the work to help her students. She asks us about the quizzes and tests and uses our feedback to create future quizzes and tests. She's just incredibly kind and a fantastic professor! 10/10 would recommend.

Barbara was amazing. You could tell she cared a lot about her students. The things we did in class was exactly what was on the exam. She gave us practice exams that lined up perfectly with actual exams. Overall she prepared us very well. She made class fun with games or other activities. She is from Spain which also gave class a fun twist! 10/10

I had tested into a higher class but took this one since I already had credit for 204 and was just looking for easy retro credits, but even if I was learning the tenses for the first time, Barb was good at explaining everything, finding relevant exercises, and fostering classroom participation. Do the online homework with a friend.

Barbara is so nice and caring, her class is engaging and interesting! Easy A but you learn a lot. I recommend her to anyone!

Barbara is a super great professor, always willing help and answers any questions that students have. Her exams are average in difficultly but gives good feedback on written work. Will take her classes again!

Barbara was by far my favorite Spanish teacher at UW. She was such a sweetheart that was always ready to help and answer any questions. Class was 75 minutes twice a week and I never really felt bored because she kept the class enjoying. If you have a choice between Barbara and anyone else, pick her and I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed!

Bárbara is one of the best Spanish professors I have had at UW. She is always so positive, and her teaching style is extremely clear. She is also approachable and helpful. Aside from this, the class is fairly easy: two tests, three short papers, and no final to stress about. If you're taking 311, take it with her!

Awesome prof. Easy grader and REALLY helpful with explaining grammar. Take this class with her; You learn the content better than with other profs, and over 50% of the class got A's

Barbara is the best Spanish teacher available at Madison. She's kind, funny, easy to ask questions of, and most importantly a great teacher. The material could have been really dry, but she did a great job of making it interesting and relevant. If I had a question about anything, I knew she would answer me without making me feel stupid. Take her!

This class was a lot of fun due to it being centered around contemporary films and documentaries, and to the fact that she is a very friendly professor. The work was very manageable and the quizzes were a cinch if you made any attempt to study and watch the movies. She's absolutely adorable and you will probably crush on her if you take her class.

I had Barbara for Spanish 224 and 325. She is amazing and extremely intelligent and knowledgeable. Take any spanish class you can with her!
