Nakakubo sensei is an absolute treat of a teacher who is always on time, prepared, and most importantly always a joy to learn with! She teaches a foreign language. Take everything you know about any foreign language, and it applies. Be there every day, take notes, practice when you can. Shes an amazing teacher though, loves all the students, and wants everyone to succeed. Will not hold you hand, but will do her best so you can too.Rate My Professors ↗

She cares a lot about her students and wants to see everyone succeed. One of the nicest professors I have ever had here at UW. She's also a great teacher! cannot recommend her enough! Japanese is not an easy language to learn, but Nakakubo-sensei tries to make it as accessible as possible. She is well prepared for class and always has a smile on her face. Participation isn't strictly necessary, but, being a language class, it is recommended. Just a tip: Read the chapter in the textbook before going to class. It really helps!Rate My Professors ↗
