Prof. Young is an engaging lecturer and caring teacher. The class was fairly demanding, but overall quite interesting and enjoyable. She also gets students involved by occasionally pulling them into discussions. The reading was consistent, but not too long. The 6 page paper was pretty time-consuming. If you put in the work, you will learn a lot.Rate My Professors ↗
Great teacher. Sometimes she moves a little fast through her lectures, but she gives out outlines every day and what she's talking about is basically in the textbook, although she goes a little more in depth. Most of the grading done by the TA, I had Derek Taira, but I don't think hes there anymore. If you luck out and get him, hes the best TA everRate My Professors ↗
Professor Young is incredibly helpful and very easy to follow. She makes a seemingly boring class intriguing with her memorable videos and professional, yet approachable teaching style. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone! She was one of my favorite professors at WisconsinRate My Professors ↗
She is a pretty good teacher, she definitely knows what she's talking about. I found the exams pretty easy, especially if you attend class. The only bad thing is that she can sometimes lose her train of thought in lecture, which I found distracting, but otherwise you can't lose with her.Rate My Professors ↗
Lectures can be a bit slow, but not the worst. She is generally very relaxed and easy to talk to. She grades papers rather hard, not a single person in my class got an A on the first essay. Is very enthusiastic about the subject, but expects a lot from you. Lots of reading.Rate My Professors ↗
