I've seen some prior complaints that Professor Kim gives too much work/readings. These are HISTORY courses. Professor Kim is one of the kindest and most easygoing professors I have had. I hate that every link is just a link to google drive. Minor but lazy. With a full semester, time is important to me, please have the files embedded on canvas. Assigns 3 big readings and hours-long videos then have to write a report disguised as "discussion" Never had a class this annoying. Sucks the fun out of learning about Korea. He is a very nice guy but I feel like Ive learned nothing in his class. He spends the first 30min rambling about random things . He sets out the plans for the class or homework and then keeps changing his mind. Say something and stick with it plz most infuriating thing Ive ever dealt with. By far my favorite class I've taken at UW. The class is front loaded so the beginning of the semester is a lot of work, but reduces at the half way point.
