STEPHEN GAMMIE

Going to Prof Gammie's lectures is like consuming his puke to determine what he ate for breakfast. Messy slides. I think his material was interesting, he probably just found it difficult to teach it in introductory level. I did not like how he explained things outside of lectures - it never really gave me an answer.

I personally did not like having him as a professor. His lectures were very unclear about what we needed to know. He threw up large diagrams and said we only needed to parts of it but didn't actually say which parts, and then proceeded to explain the whole diagram. He expects you to have already learned all the content before in other classes.

I did NOT like Stephen. He was not clear on what he wanted us to know, even after being explicitly asked by a student. He included examples for concepts that were interesting but did not apply to the exam whatsoever and his explanations for things that we actually needed to know were very vague so I kind of taught myself a lot of the concepts :(

Pretty good lecturer, clearly cares about what he is teaching and has a passion for it. Lectures are a little slow sometimes, but overall really enjoyed learning about the content. Exams based on lecture alone, but textbook and outside materials were definitely helpful in studying. Would probably take class from him again.

He is clearly very intelligent and loves what he does, the lectures were just boring and mostly pictures. The 3rd exam was very specific, practically needed to memorize word for word the slides. Little much for a gen bio class and not an upper level physiology course. Overall, not my favorite 151 professor.

Dr. Gammie is very kind and wants you to learn the content! His lectures were a bit lack-luster, though. It was difficult to know what he wants you to know come exam time as he does give you so much content in the third 151 section- beware that it's the hardest section! But the content was interesting and his tests were fair.
