Engaging as a speaker - yes; but gets sidetracked & it was hard to stay focused for all 75 min b/c the way he teaches; funny but so much sexual innuendo; class requires you to be good at learning auditorily, he doesn't really write stuff down & provides no visuals/slides of the content; you just write down what he says; also can be harsh grader

Marketing 410 - Funny and very knowledgable, but very tough grader, LOTS of readings each week that are required in order to do well on exams and partake in lecture discussion, extremely strict in terms of technology (no tech allowed, drop a letter grade if phone goes off in class), penalty if late to class or use wrong grammar in writing.

Moses is consistently rated one of the best professors at UW Madison and for good reason. You'll get so much out of his class. Just be aware there are very few assignments!!

Moses is the best professor I had at my time at UW. As a senior looking back, I can't recommend him enough. He has a very energetic personality and a different teaching style than you may be used to but you will get out of it what you put in and learn REAL WORLD marketing practices. He is accessible, supportive, and passionate. Meant to teach.

The GOAT. Genuinely cares and wants his students to succeed. Far and away my favorite professor I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend. B-school or not everyone needs to take one of his classes.

Professor Altsech not only cares about teaching his students real and useful knowledge but actually cares about each student as an individual both inside the classroom and out. Read the articles each week (they're interesting too) and come to class and the exams will go well. The group project at the end is relatively easy and enjoyable.

Moses is my favorite professor I have ever had. You have to take one of his classes. He cares so much about his students and you will learn so much from him.

BEST PROF I'VE EVER HAD!!! Lectures are so engaging, I would leave class every day literally excited to come back. If you can take a class with Moses please do, you will NOT regret it - there's so much he has to offer to students

He is so fun and makes the class very engaging for all students. He really improved my presentation skills. He has lots of great advice to offer and is always there for his students.

I took his 4-week summer course and it was great! Moses is an amazing lecturer and is pretty funny too. He truly cares about his students and is passionate about what he teaches. This class was online and asynchronous, but I'm sure it would be even better in person.

Prof. Altsech is truly an amazing person. I took him over the summer asynchronously but even in his lecture videos, it shows how much he cares about his students. He makes the videos engaging and thorough.

Moses is definitely the best professor I've ever had, & I will definitely be taking more classes with him. He does grade hard on papers but his exams are very fair. Besides that though, he's hilarious and makes his lectures super engaging. I've learned so much from him about marketing but also about life - he is so real! Take a class with him!!!

Moses is the best professor at UW Madison, he cares a lot about his students and will take time to explain anything you don't understand. He is hilarious and very interesting.

Moses is one of the best professors I ever had. I would give an arm and a leg to take another class with him. Not only is he a really strong lecturer that teaches you the material well, but he also teaches you a lot of really helpful stuff not in the curriculum. Take a class with this man, you won't regret it.

He is by far my favorite professor that I have ever come across. He doesn't make you feel like you're just a number. He genuinely wants to get to know his students! and you can see this by the assignments he assigns. He helped me with a huge issue with my major and was the reason for me to find my way. He was so caring. all I can say is thank U!!!

When Moses says you can use him as a resource for things outside of the classroom, he truly means it. I have learned so much from this man in the classes I've taken with him; I will forever be grateful. I feel I cannot repay him for all he has taught me not just about business or marketing, but rather life and morals. TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM!!!

Moses is one of the best professors I've had in my college career. Not only would he drop everything to be there for one of his students, he is extremely intelligent and makes class interesting. The exams are also pretty straightforward and fair. One thing that kind of sucks is the group project for the class but other than that he's great.

While his life is quite interesting and he truly cares about marketing, he grades very, very harshly. Make sure all essays and projects have no typos, or you will get a bad grade. I wouldn't take a class with him again.

One of my favorite professors and courses so far in college. Truly cares about his students and is very willing to help you in any way possible. I thoroughly enjoyed the material and group project and thought his exams were fair. He also gives extra credit on exams.

Moses is a really great professor for this course. He is funny, intelligent, & makes the class as easy as possible. There are two exams, and the one with the higher grade counts more than the one with the lower grade. I received high A's on both exams with minimal studying (DO THE READINGS). The group project is 40% of your grade, so focus on that!

Moses is the best professor I have had on campus. Moses will take time out of his busy schedule to help you with anything from school related to life related issues. Do not take Moses for granted as he is an incredible resource and in incredible professor

Moses will teach you about Marketing but also about life. I feel like this was my own Tuesdays with Morrie (if you read the book). I wish he would be given more classes to teach at UW, and I would take them all, required or not. Born to teach is the best way to describe him.

Best. Class. EVER.

Moses is a great professor and an even better person. He cares about his students and is passionate about what he is teaching. The workload is not that bad, but make sure you put ample time into the work he does present you with.

Basically, the exams and writing assignments are easy A's. It all comes down to the group project which has unclear criteria and is graded more harshly than anything else in the class. If you get a bad group you're kind of screwed. The class is overall interesting and applicable to the "real world" but the grading is screwy in the end

Moses is the best teacher I've had at UW. He's deeply knowledgable of the content, serving as a business advisor himself. He's kind, friendly, funny and smart. He'll scare you on the first day but you'll love him the next and all after. The content is so interesting and tests are fair. Fine reading amount. Group project very doable if split evenly
