About this rating

Raw average: 2.43/5 from 28 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

The projects were insanely hard, and she assigned long homework due the week of the project. The second project was a plot that was based entirely on her preference. The project descriptions were insanely vague, and when you would ask what you were supposed to do, she would assume that you should just know.

Homework took up to 10 hours each week. The quizzes were unreasonable at best. Projects were incredibly unclear and wayyyy underspecified on what was required. Project 2 was graded based mostly on subjective color preferences of the professor which she never told us. She also would stop class to single out students who were talking about material.

Dahlke does not get enough credit. Sure, classes are tough, but this is ChemE we are talking about. She's a very caring instructor and beats most of the PI in this department who cares more about their research and conferences than actual teaching.

CBE 250
Quality 1/5Difficulty 5/5
Her notes are very messy, if you miss a class it's hard to understand the material as there are no lecorded lectures and notes are very messy. Lecture focuses on definitions and concepts, but not enough problem solving which is the chief aspect of the class. gives homework that we havent covered material for and covers material one day before due.
