Dr. Weaver is a fantastic lecturer, he is able to explain complex concepts with ease and coherence. Chem 327, despite its level of difficulty with accuracy-based labs, and all the new assumptions you get to learn about making in Chemistry, has been my favorite course at UW-Madison thus far. He's also genuinely a funny guy who wants you to succeed!!Rate My Professors ↗
Dr Weaver is a very good professor who does an excellent job at thoroughly explaining topics. The tests are not too difficult and the class is curved at the end making it not too difficult to do well.Rate My Professors ↗
The class has a million assignments that take for ever. The is labs, pre lecture assignments, homeworks, and 3 exams with a final. The content is challenging but doable. Prof Weaver is amazing though. He is really funny and you can tell he enjoys teaching. He was very passionate and caring.Rate My Professors ↗
Very knowledgeable professor who seemed to genuinely care about his students. The set up of Chem 109 is very simple and I knew what was expected of me every day and how to succeed in the class.Rate My Professors ↗
On several occasions would explain answers and topics incorrectly which would lead to time spent relearning material from my TA. Weaver would just read off slides during lectures leaving them fairly boring. Monday labs were also difficult as material wasn't introduced until Wednesday lecture.Rate My Professors ↗
