Dr.Hooker is a passionate and knowledgeable professor who enjoys engaging and joking with the class. I thought that Chem 104 was relatively hard, but if you put in the effort, you will do fine. My only critique of Dr.Hooker is that we fall very behind in lectures compared to the pre-class, so a lot of what you learn will be initially self-taught.

I hated chem in high school, but Professor Hooker made me love it in college. I took 103 with him last semester and went out of my way to take 104 with him again this semester. I highly recommend him.

Only prof I've had in a STEM class that actually seems like they love to teach students, always makes lectures super engaging while still getting material across super clear and direct

If you are lucky enough to be placed in one of Dr. Hooker's chemistry sections, GO TO LECTURE! He is such an amazing lecturer who finds ways to bring humor and fun into class. He genuinely cares that we do well and understand material, and his exams are very fair. 10000/10 great guy.

when i took ap chem in high school acid-base titrations was my absolute worst unit. prof managed to reteach it and get me way more confident in them in such a short amount of time. hes seriously the best chem professor you could get
