Professor Koenig always cares her student and lectures are somewhat helpful. However, her grading criteria is pretty vague and sometimes confusing. Suggestions are somewhat helpful but mostly so broad and confusing. She may deny some of her previous suggestions and tell you that it is not feasible after few days submitting your paper.Rate My Professors ↗
Jane is simply not fit to teach this class. Her feedback to my essays were to broad and often not helpful. She does not respond to her emails and is hardly accessible outside of the classroom. DON'T take her class; if she is the only instructor available, don't take this class that semester and defer taking it to the next semester if you can.Rate My Professors ↗
She is very kind and nice. She always cares about students' feelings and tries to give useful and great feedback. During the conference, she gives much effective advice and tries her best to improve our writing skills. Worst instructor that I have ever met in UW Madison. I have never seen any professor who makes so much mistakes when giving us feedbacks during the conference. Also It makes me think that she is a huge populist. I got an A since I worked super hard but you will never expect easy grade in this class and plus dense hw. Honestly, if you take a writing course, you are expected to stay up late for some days, and this is normal for a class like ESL 118. Jane is a very caring instructor and she gave me a lot of constructive feedback during conferences. She made me feel that ESL 118 is not as hard as other described and writing paper is a fun creative process.Rate My Professors ↗
Jane always tried to cheer us up. She's energetic and warm. Indeed this is a tough course and definitely hard to pass. But she gave a lot of comments though her handwriting can be a little bit ineligible. She also tried to extend the deadlines for a few days (which is lenient for 118) if we really couldn't finish our drafts.Rate My Professors ↗
