His record of attendance was terrible as he gave one of the female students a “free” late for over ten minutes for no reason. He also does not clearly grade your assignments as not rubric is submitted on canvas for you to check. The humiliation of student is also a problem. Calling students “dummy” and “stupid” should not be acceptable.

He is fierce at the beginning but gradually becomes friendly, perhaps he wants students to follow his rules. Each homework will be given a guide before grading. However, ESL course has too many assignments, but this is the matter of the course.

His lectures are interesting. He also gives some course time to do assignments. He gives some examples to homework, so just need to follow and modify on them

One of the best professors I had, his class was a lot of work but he gave clear feedback and the work was not too hard. He was really caring, changed deadlines if needed and gave extra opportunities for those making effort. He might have been a little scary sometimes but it was mainly him playing jokes. Participate in his class and he will like you

Terry is the best English teacher that I had. I was scared of him during my first lecture, but then I understood that he is a very kind and supportive person. What I liked most about him is that he genuinely cares about his students and always wants to help. Definitely recommend taking 118 with him, because he makes the course fun and not so hard.

Terry is literally the best English teacher I've ever had. Personally, I think ESL 118 is not that painful with him. Sometimes he can be really intimidating, but most of the time he is just joking around. However, once you get to know his personality, he is really nice and sweet!
