About this rating

Raw average: 3.40/5 from 15 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Eric was really nice, but the large amount of material covered everyday was hard to stay on top of. The class consisted of him reading off the lecture slides and the tests were very specific and memorization heavy, so I definitely recommend going back over lectures after each class. The class was interesting, but difficult with no ag background.

Quality 4/5Difficulty 3/5
Good professor but the tests were extremely material heavy and they were entirely based on the lectures. This isn't a class you can cram the night before, you should study every slide. Majority of the time he's just reading off the slides, but the labs are super engaging. Not east, but it is manageable.

Professor Ronk is knowledgeable, but the tests are extremely material-heavy and almost entirely based on lectures. You need to study every slide in detail. Lectures can feel like reading off slides, but labs are more engaging. Not easy, but manageable if you keep up.

Erics lecture style is mostly reading off the slides posted at the beginning of the week and guest lectures. The class isn't overly difficult and focuses mainly on cows and other livestock so a background in those is useful. The exams consist of the niche information on the slides not the overall ideas which was frustrating but over all was ok.

Quality 2/5Difficulty 2/5
Ronk is an iffy lecturer. Exams aren't too bad and really focus on the main details. If you don't have an animal science background this might be more challenging, but if you do its a very easy course.

For Erik's lectures, he mostly read off slides, you need to work with the material on your own to do well on exams. If you study and work with the material on your own, you'll do well on exams. Erik does much better in the counterpart to this class, which is the lab AnSci 102.
