This class is awful but I think he's trying to improve it. The labs all require a lot of work, but it's pretty hard to get a bad grade on them. He fixed the grading policy so that your grade is no longer entirely dependent on the final exam.

This is the absolute worst planned class I have ever taken. The TA shows up late to lab and there is zero communication with students. If even five minutes were taken by the professor to plan this class it would be better

Prof. Berson is the best professor I have had. He is very knowledgeable and does an excellent job explaining difficult topics. He emphasizes having a good technique/strategy for solving problems, which has helped me with other courses as well. He is very accessible outside of class, very friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to.

He's a genuinely nice guy who cares about the subject and is willing to help you understand it. His lectures are pretty good, and he's very accessible. The textbook aligns with the course material very well, and EES is a lifesaver once you know it. Thermodynamics is a difficult course with rapid-fire homework, but I ended up liking it somehow.

Professor Berson really cares about his students. He provides us with a lecture note template, which honestly was the most helpful thing this semester. I also had so much fun learning in his class because he made it really interesting. I would highly recommend taking him when you can.

Great prof! Tests in fluids were very fair, the lecture material was deep though. If you do the hw and a few practice problems you'll get through no problem

This prof had decent lectures, seemed to care about your learning, but unfortunately was very unhelpful when you need help. There were coded problems he couldn't debug, mistakes on homework he wouldn't correct until a few hours before it was due, and questions he would respond "figure it out" to.

Great lecturer! Very helpful outside of class and a fair grader
