About this rating

Raw average: 3.78/5 from 27 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Prof. Gartner is the greatest of all time. Super funny but also genuinely cares about the subject matter and loves to talk about it with you - go to his office hours! Tests can be challenging, but are open note and online, and he also hosts a comprehensive review session before each one. TAKE HIM!!

I had Dr. Gartner for Geography, a subject I didn't care much about at all, and i LOVED him. He really knows his stuff and delivers his lectures like a TEDtalk. I will say that even though the exams were all online and open book, they were the most random and impossible questions even the internet wouldn't be able to solve.

Professor Gartner's lectures were amazing; they are among the few that fully keep me engaged. The exams were easy, and the essays weren't too bad. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who needs to take a humanities credit.
