I learn next to nothing in lectures because he doesn't go in depth. Since there is also no textbook, the class relies heavily on discussion (lab) sections to go in depth with topics, but that is rarely any help because each discussion there is also a quiz and a presentation. Homeworks each week take 5+ hours to complete which is ridiculous.

Homework and tests were tough. Do the HW and you should be fine in the class. Wish keys were made for the assignments. Caring professor. Great lectures that were engaging. Tests are comprehensive rather than plug and chug. Try to find extra practice tests to go through. Recommend getting the textbook he lists in the syllabus, it helps.

Steve is a great professor and the content of his course was very interesting. He expects a fair amount of work from his students, and the exams were fairly challenging as well. If you're looking to receive a high grade, you'll need to put in the work for it.

It seemed as if his expectations were too high for an intro level course. He graded very strictly from strict guidelines that were not always made clear to the class.

Steve was a great help. I used to look forward to seeing him and chatting toward the end of the semester. Respect him by paying attention and asking questions in lecture and he will do the same in making time to go over things with you when you have questions. Always with a smile and a laugh. Hope to have him again

He is a good prof who will help you when you ask for it. The exams are pretty fair he does not throw any big curve balls at you. If you do the homework you will be fine on the exam.
