He is a nice guy and he takes the time to get to know everyone. Since he learns everyone's names, however, he loves to single people out in class. The class is extremely difficult, and lectures are not the most helpful in learning the material. Discussion is most important to your learning. GOATed professor. Most caring professor I've had, really smart and dumbs it down to a level that is understandable. The class is hard and a lot of work, but Chin makes it a lot of fun. Chin takes some getting used to but I ended up loving his class and mode of teaching. He really emphasizes knowing the principles rather than getting the right answer. Chin is awesome. He makes lectures interesting, and he really wants you to understand the concepts. The tests are tough, but he offers ample opportunity to get points back as well as extra credit. Chin has pretty active lectures and he puts lots of work into his slides. He has a fun personality but also does have some light hearted sarcasm. The class is still tough and he puts emphasis on 50% conceptual and 50% calculation based exams. Quizzes are mostly homework based and Chin does want people to read the textbook.Rate My Professors ↗
