His creative nonfiction course is one of the best writing classes I've ever taken. He covers a variety of material and gives us helpful feedback on each assignment.

I came into this class super nervous because I was the only freshman, but I found that even though this was my most homework-heavy class, I really enjoyed it because of the professor! The lectures and material were actually interesting, he was funny during class, and while he is a hard grader he gave honest, helpful feedback.

Schwoch fails to give the class his all. This class is centered upon learning how to pitch to the media, but Schwoch only gave bad examples to learn what not to do from and never properly taught us what we should be learning instead. The final project is unclear and he extremely unhelpful, not answering emails with questions pertaining to it.
