About this rating

Raw average: 1.64/5 from 22 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

LIS 500

Extremely disorganized. The syllabus was essentially a suggestion, as deadlines were moved with zero notice. Expect to wait 3+ weeks for any grade to be returned, usually with zero feedback on why points were docked.

Reginold has been, by far, the worst professor that I have had. Any clarification question asked during lecture is met with a degrading response. Furthermore, he does not answer emails and tends to prioritize the sale of his "works" rather than the education of his students.

he's got LOADS of attitude. very condescending. he asks us to do tons of reading, watch long films, AND complete linkedin trainings. very harsh grader too

Waited ONE hour for a zoom call that he didn't show up to, then claimed there was a confusion regarding the link. Like.. we all know you forgot. Mind you we had to pay $35 to watch a movie to discuss in THAT zoom call. Canvas is VERY poorly organized, a ton of readings AND films to watch just for a 300-word discussion post, no materials of his OWN!

I have some choice words for this prof. For one, he didn't even show up to a zoom discussion we were required to attend, while we all waited. The course itself is very disorganized and glitchy, with canvas materials written so poorly I question how he could have written his own publications. He's also condescending. Can't believe he is tenured!

LIS500 was an interesting class. Contrary to popular opinion I didn't mind the LinkedIn certifications and they were semi helpful. Participation matters a lot in this class and it has to be like novel and meaningful. Grading criteria is all over the place, max effort usually got you an A but randomly you'd get points off. Not a very friendly guy.
