Buttrick is very knowledgeable, and a funny guy, doesn't feel like a professor but more like a friend. He understands his material well and teaches it well. He's also very forgiving with grading, and he knows you are human. Great guyRate My Professors ↗

There is a lot of reading, but it is manageable. Lectures are mandatory and checked with TopHat, but TopHat has had a lot of issues so I'm not sure if it's going to stay for his next semester. Tests are online and open-note so very manageable to do if you prepare well.Rate My Professors ↗
He is very knowledgable, well-spoken and his lectures are intriguing. After exams, you can get some points back by doing a "report" about your wrong answers. He takes feedback on exams, so if someone points out a mistake, or if over 75% of the students get one wrong, he will regrade that question. However, some readings are long and time-consuming.Rate My Professors ↗
This class for the most part wasn't difficult. Tests can be challenging as its mostly reading and applying whatever concepts fit. Its not like a basic question and answer level test. Paper at the end isn't hard tbh, just get a feeling of what your TA is looking for.Rate My Professors ↗
Lectures are interesting and engaging, though heavily based on research studies. Lots of reading that can be exhausting, but if you're interested in culture, it'll be interesting by default. There are 3 exams, a final paper, a discussion section, & attendance. Exams are open-note & online, so take good ones! Overall easy, informative, good class.Rate My Professors ↗
