Average on tests was super low did very little to compensate. Try's to seem like she cares about successes but she does not and never sees her teaching as the issue.

Misha's lectures were confusing. Although you have to go, since attendance points count in your grade, I recommend mostly spacing out. Focus on memorizing the weekly homework quiz questions and answers. She reuses the same questions from the homeworks for the quizzes and the exams, so as long as you know those well you will do well in the class.

She spends lots of time on some topics and skips over others. There's lots of reading too and random in-class graded assignments, so attendance is necessary. She also never answers her emails and was very unorganized when communicating with me about my accommodations. She took weeks to release exam scores and doesn't show the correct answers.

The lectures were slow paced, didn't cover the material they needed to. We often had hour and a half videos to watch as homework. Additionally, you must watch 5 videos and create 5 responses then respond to 5 classmates discussion responses..This was very much busy work. The class material was overall interesting though.

Finney was boring. The exams and lecture would be great for those taking a advanced level class, but for an intro class she went very in depth and expected us to know too much info. It was very hard to memorize everything. She was never able to finish slideshows bc she talked too much. I don't recommend, it was not an interesting intro class.

Prof Finney is knowledgeable in her field and passionate about comm disorders. You definitely need to read the textbook because the weekly quizzes are based on it. She doesn't post whole lecture slides instead, there are blanks in the slides which is a little frustrating. As someone who isn't in STEM, this class was difficult, but also interesting.
