Overall, a great professor; clearly cares about her students and their success. She also feels very passionately about the things she teaches. She doesn't assign much homework other than readings. I would definitely take a class with her again!

Very interesting class! She doesn't assign too much work because she knows college kids are busy. Projects are mostly group-based, and there's a lot of discussion in the class. Homework is quite reading heavy though.

I really enjoyed Prof Michaud's teaching and her class. She pushes everyone to think critically, and you could tell that people were engaged and comfortable participating. One of my favorite classes and professors thus far. Grades were easy, so it was easy to just focus on the content and lecture.

She's a very sweet teacher, and you can tell she really cares about her students. The homework's are a lot of reading and you should be prepared to talk about them in class but it's not that bad. Attendance is mandatory but you have like 5 skips! She does a really good job talking about the current events in the world and really makes you think.

Her class pushes you to think critically about world issues from many perspectives and to focus on facts while reflecting on personal biases. She's flexible about extenuating circumstance if you communicate with her. Loved her class, she's very inspirational and human.

Very harshly grades on attendance and participation, which is nearly 20% of your grade. Does not emphasize the importance of participation until 2-3 classes before the end of the semester and then a low participation score makes it virtually impossible to get an A in the class.
