About this rating

Raw average: 2.83/5 from 6 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

CBE 310
Quality 5/5Difficulty 4/5
Extremely clear in lecture. Explains every step thoroughly and has a slightly quirky sense of humor. He teaches from the book, which I think is good because if you miss a lecture you can catch up, but he explains each step well. Exams are from lecture, challenging, usually has one question extending your knowledge beyond lecture.

Useless as a lecturer. Reads right out of the book. Can never get a time to meet with him as he is always too busy with his grad students or his own agenda. Worst ever.

Quality 2/5Difficulty 5/5
His exams are tough. He was grinning ear to ear before we took the final, which turned out to be next to impossible. He seems to relish in making things incredibly difficult. Lectures were boring and he taught straight out of the book, which was too bad because the book wasn't great.

Quality 3/5Difficulty 4/5
While moderately helpful when you ask him for one-on-one lectures were pretty much a bust. It was pointless because he basically reads out of the textbook. If you miss a lecture, no biggie, just read two pages from the book! He writes really small on the board and speaks really quietly as well. Not a very good lecturer at all.

Very logical, very helpful, he is friendly with a peculiar sense of humor that just happens to always be funny. One of the greatest professors I've had.
