About this rating

Raw average: 4.00/5 from 10 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

I really didn't like Pfleger & I would not recommend at all. It seemed like since we were online, he got away with doing the absolute bare minimum. Lectures and homework were ridiculous and unhelpful. He didn't return the first midterm until after the second midterm, he was consistently rude during our interactions and communication was deplorable.

Quality 4/5Difficulty 5/5
Pfleger is a nice professor who does a great job of sparking interest in Chem-E. He uses powerpoints to describe concepts and demonstrate them through an example. The homework for this class is INTENSE and time-consuming but you learn a lot from it, and you benefit from going back through lecture examples to make sure you understand everything.

Quality 2/5Difficulty 4/5
Prof. Pfleger seems to be more interested in his research than teaching. Lectures are almost always too long, uninspired, and don't teach much of anything. However, he is a pretty funny guy if you can stay awake to catch his jokes.

Brian Pfleger is the single greatest professor I've had at Madison. Very relatable guy and very fun to be in class with.
