This review is for Asian American 250. We call her LoHo as a nickname. She is pretty decent professor but needs more engagement with the class. Course was very quiet and I did not learn too much from it.Rate My Professors ↗

I know many people rate her as bad but she is by far the most interesting professor I've learned from. As long as you're engaged in the topic and do the assigned readings and take lecture notes, the work is fairly easy. She doesn't assign much homework but prepared to do alot of readings.Rate My Professors ↗

PLEASEDON'T take her class!Professor Ho is the most unsympathetic professor I've encountered and full of biases.Even if you complete assignments exactly according to her syllabus and requirements (merely notes),she'll still deduct points.Her lectures are incredibly boring, she even leaves early during class discussions meant for students.Rate My Professors ↗

Attendance isn't required but she grades you on weekly lecture notes, readings and videos that are excessively long and she doesn't post lectures. She is a difficult professor+extremely unfair. The TA's aren't any better(Vera)she was a tough grader. You could spend an entire day working on this class and still get points off for the smallest thingsRate My Professors ↗

Attendance isn't required, but not only does she refuse to upload lecture slides but asks students to submit weekly lecture notes (Graded based on the amount of notes you take). She's knowledgable about ethnic studies topics but her lectures were almost always irrelevant tangents. I learned a lot more from the guest lecturers and documentaries.Rate My Professors ↗
