Franklin Miller was one of my favorite professors in my college career. His lectures were well presented and there was a lot of homework every week. The homework is heavy, but crucial for your success in his course. Very approachable and really cares about his students. I would recommend Miller to anyone in the ME department. 3 homeworks per week are definitely worth the time(big chunk of grade). HW can be challenging at times but they're the most important thing you can do for the exams. Exams themselves are more comparable to the easier homeworks. If you understand the basics of the material, you shouldn't have any problems.Rate My Professors ↗
2 homework assignments a week, if you do them it is a lot of work, but you can't get behind in the class. Very knowledgeable about the subject, you can get a lot out of office hours. One of the worst professors I have seen. He'll answer questions during the exam. That's good. However, his handwriting is so bad and the lecture is boring. Also he doesn't really care about his students or try to understand them, even just a little bit. Questions in the exam usually not related to lecture slides. He REALLY knows his material and is remarkable at explaining it.
