Dr. Barta was really nice and you could tell she cared about her students. For being a one credit class I do feel like there was a good amount of time I had to put into it, and it might have just been our TA but there was a high expectation of quality of work that I wasn't expecting for an easy A class I assumed. Just take music 113 and save tears

Dr. Barta is a caring, knowledgable, and will do whatever she can to help you get research opportunities. CHEM260 really prepared me for research lab expectations and how to get your foot in the door. Without her, I wouldn't be working in a lab this summer. She is always willing to talk outside of class and help you!

avoid at all costs. i had huge family issues going on during the semester and she did not accommodate me in the least, ended up costing me an A in the class.

I thought Dr. Barta was a great professor. She made the material interesting, and she was very helpful during office hours. Of course this class is going to be hard; it's a gen chem weed out. But I thought her exams were fair if you put effort into the class.

Cheri seemed more interested in doing very elementary examples in class than in explaining the key concepts of the course. Exams and weekly quizzes are hard and full of tricks. Teaches the class like an elementary course, tests and grades much harder. Does not curve tests or quizzes and seems to want the class average to be a C
