Dr. Slinger is an approachable, ambitious professor; however, she has strict (and sometimes confusing) standards. Grading criteria not always clear, i.e. points often taken off for things not in the rubric directly. Exams are hard, and require extensive knowledge of material. Labs are often interesting/enjoyable, but you will fight for a good gradeRate My Professors ↗
Professor Slinger was the best professor I have had so far at UW-Madison. She has clear learning objectives that align very well with exams. She also is very effective and efficient at lecturing and highlights what you need to know for exams.
