Prof Miyamoto is amazing and a great professor. My only complaint with the class is that it basically is graded on three midterms. If you don't do well on one test, you shouldn't expect anything higher than a B. Not the most interesting topic, but it's manageable if you study for the tests. 80% of the tests are from lecture, so they're mandatory.

Yuri is one of my favorite professors I've had at UW. She is extremely easy to listen to. GO TO LECTURE. She gives everyone time to copy her slides down and if you listen and pay attention you will do well on the Lecture part of exams. The book is important, I recommend reading the information she doesn't cover in class. She provided a study guide.

Yuri is amazing! She gives study guides before each exam, so if you go off of that and know the concepts on them, you should be totally fine with the exams. Only non-cumulative 3 exams and in class activities. Go to class, powerpoints not posted online. Loved her!

This class itself is very interesting and not very difficult. However, Professor Miyamoto basically told me there was no way I could bring my grade up after I didn't do well on the first test. I went to office hours and reviewed with her and she continuously expressed each time I went in that she doubted that I would be able to do well on her exams

Yuri is an amazing professor. All the contents are super interesting to know. However, the tests are really hard. You gotta memorize every single word in lecture or you will not pass the exam. PPTs are not provided after class, so remember to take notes. I do not recommand to use her lecture note in class. DO NOT SKIP CLASS, LECTURE MATTERS.
