About this rating

Raw average: 2.03/5 from 29 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

MATH 331
Quality 5/5Difficulty 3/5
He is an excellent professor. One midterm in Math 331 was tough, but you can do well by studying the practice problems, which the exams closely follow. I earned an AB after working hard and scored 98.5 on the first midterm and 85 on the final. Overall, he is a great instructor and even wrote me a recommendation letter.

Yukuns class is extremely old fashioned and lecture heavy. I don't think I've seen chalkboard lessons since elementary school. Aside from that, he's a nice guy just not a great teacher and his test content doesn't match his teaching style. Also, too many proofs

Yukun is a nice guy so I feel bad giving him a 1, but his teaching is so incredibly bad. He is obsessed with proving basic math, but then flies by the actual problems that are causing the class issues. On most occasions we have to beg him to finish the problem he was on so we can understand what he was doing. Avoid him if you can.
