Such a great professor! Very engaging and clear lectures, which are chock-full of detailed information. You have to pay attention and attend class, or you will definitely fall behind. Exams are a bit unorthodox but were not overly difficult. This class has a fair amount of work, but no busywork.Rate My Professors ↗
The material was interesting. I will say that the structure is iffy, class would go over time and sometimes the grading criteria is confusing. I disliked the attendance policy- 1 absence for a class that meets 3x a week. Attendance is graded on accuracy, so even if you come you might not get it. If you attend lecture and pay attention it is an easy A. The mandatory quizzes after each lecture are easy. However he went over the class time limit several times for these quizzes and missed several questions from students due to reading off the screen during every lecture. Content is easy, lecture pace is slow, videos he shows in class are fun!Rate My Professors ↗
This class was amazing. Whoever rated him low just did not try. We are in college. Show up! Attendance is mandatory, so what? He gave so many extra credit opportunities, the exams are basically the lectures (he posts the lectures before class!), one presentation, and easy paper. I 100% would take him again. Amazing guy. Professor Ferrigno is an great professor. He cares about his students and is very passionate about teaching. Attendance is 10% of the grade (TopHats) so it is mandatory. However, there is ample opportunity for extra credit to supplement a few missed lectures. The class is graded fairly and the exam are definitely on the easier side. 100% Recommend.Rate My Professors ↗
Reads off a script when lecturing. If you don't attend lectures you'll struggle. Uses 3 TopHat questions per lecture for attendance, but you lose points if you get them wrong.
