Great professor. Really cares about what he teaches. But the course is very difficult. You will not get a good grade in this course if you're not prepared to put in the work.

Dr. Fessenbecker was not only a great professor, but an excellent resource outside of the classroom. He supported me in my career aspirations and helped me apply what I learned in class in real-life. Even with minimal notice, he took time out of his day to help me and I am forever appreciative for my time with him.

Fessenbecker clearly cares about the subjects he teaches and wants his students to care too. That said, he has no idea how to use canvas. His course page was difficult to navigate and he didnt bother to tell students that the canvas grade does not represent the actual class grade. He also disregards parts of his own rubrics. Besides this, very good

He was excellent with class engagment and teaching the material, but the late notice for large assignments and the brutal feedback made some days exausting. The pre class readings were about sometimes 4 hours with 1 day notice. His feedback is constructive, but often so harsh that picking a new topic was the only solution. I did ok in the class.
