Lydia was a very tough grader for tests. You literally had to have the exact words she wanted to get points. Class was way more work than any of my higher level classes. The material was interesting mostly but opposing views were never considered. I kind of felt like Lydia just was condescending and rude in her lectures

took a 1 credit seminar with her and oh man the amount of homework and reading she assigns for a 1 credit class is absurd. there's more homework in this class than some 3 credit courses i've taken. she's not a very warm person either. I also had to spend money on some materials for this seminar which i've never had to do before

Lydia is very passionate about the material covered. That being said, she also sees things very black and white. Does not really see the other side of things. Class seems more preachy than a presentation of facts at times. Material was interesting, but it got hard to pay attention. Final research presentation for this class.

Class is "mandatory" because she gives you pop quizzes nearly everyday. She's unapproachable and doesn't explain things in a helpful manner. Reads off of slides. Exams are nothing like the practice questions. Content is semi-interesting but it makes it hard to enjoy it when the professor conveys it in confusing way. Get to work on HW in groups.

This class is eye opening. Three exams and a presentation. Discussion sections are mandatory. Read the book/articles and pay attention to the lecture material and you should do well in the class. I recommend taking this class! Only downside to Professor Zepeda is she seems unapproachable and sort of rude.

Lydia is one of the best professors I have had in college and this course is extremely eye opening. Lydia is very helpful and knowledgeable about the topics discussed. I would highly recommend taking a class with her!
