Highly recommend this prof and class. He obviously cares about you learning the material not just memorizing it for an exam. He's designed the class to make an A very achievable. That said, exams carry a lot of weight.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Moreira is super great and gives his lectures in a way that makes it feel like he's talking to you, not lecturing at you. He is also younger, so I feel like he makes his lectures on these topics more relatable. Exams were pretty easy.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Moreira is really kind and cares a lot about his students and their success. He creates a welcoming class environment and is clearly passionate about what he teaches. It was his first semester, so I'll cut him a little slack. The lectures were long and pretty boring, but attendance wasn't mandatory. All in all, what bothered me the most was how condescending he came off as. I was also in the honors discussion section with him and if you ever said something he didn't agree with he kind of just dismissed you.Rate My Professors ↗
Prof Moreira isn't trying to trip you up. He was a new prof this semester so I'd cut him some slack. Make sure to be on top of your Canvas quizzes bc those can make or break ur grade. I'd recommend going to office hours to ask any clarifying ?s for exams/essays. If you have a specific situation or hardship in the class def talk to him in person.Rate My Professors ↗
Would recommend; the content was interesting, and Dr. Moreira is clearly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, which made lectures worthwhile. The vibe during lecture definitely became less sterile and more personable as the semester progressed, so I would expect more of the latter going forward.
