About this rating

Raw average: 2.00/5 from 5 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Jinlong has improved alot since the first lecture. Early on it was tough. He took feedback and improved the lectures throughout. Overall, he is a nice guy. I wish there was more office hours and exams were returned but, that's okay. The group project is straight forward. Its a good course to learn the BASICS of fluid mechanics.

he assigned a project with the grade weight of a midterm, no rubric, very little instruction. He then just seemingly assigned random grades for it all between like 86-92. it even involved a 2 page report with LITERALLY NO DETAILS. I dont really care if he wants to leave things vague but to do that and then grade the way he did was so annoying.

Terrible lecturer. He reads directly off of his slides and doesn't do any examples, and when he does they are unclear and hard to comprehend. I had to teach myself everything in this course. BUT, it's also insanely easy. The exams are a joke, and there's a group project that is a free 100. Final is not cumulative. Worth taking for the easy A.

Derivation based teaching while reading off slides with very little actually applicable examples. Spends half of class reviewing the last lectures material then runs over by 5 mins every time. Does not give any study materials, tells you to redo lecture and homework problems.

reads off of lecture slides and hardly ever actually applies any concepts in a problem to solve. has no idea how to set up a canvas page for his course. does not record lectures and his notes are unhelpful.
