I loved this class! Suri gives fantastic lectures and kept my attention despite taking an 8 am class. There is a lot of reading each week, but the books are surprisingly good. If you work hard, do the readings and put time into the assignments, you will do very well.

Suri is the most well-spoken Professor I've had at this university. He never makes a mistake and makes his points with a forceful voice. Suri is an unbelievable teacher and I would take any other class offered by him in the future. Only downside of 434 is that he missed several lectures, understandable because he was flying in to Washington.

My favorite Prof so far at Madison. I have taken both his 434 and 102 classes. Currently in 434 and it is definitely harder but totally worth it. Any trouble and Suri is really approachable and helpful. He makes you think about history instead of just memorizing random facts that seem to mean nothing.

Take any class offered with Prof. Suri. He is one of the most intelligent men out there and is the greatest professor I've ever had. He brings in new ideas and makes class interesting, he's absolutely amazing.
