About this rating

Raw average: 3.78/5 from 18 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

This class was required for my education policy major, but I would have taken it either way. It was a really interesting class and Professor Otting is incredibly kind and funny in this class. Really interesting information and a great class!

Great Professor, her slides were extremely helpful and informative. She brought live speakers who helped get the story from someone who does studies there or is from the area. There are a couple reading and videos to watch for leacture that are important to do, but overall she is a good proffesor just hope you have a good TA.

I've taken a couple classes with Professor Otting. Overall, she's passionate and clearly cares about the stuff she's teaching. I would say that my TA made the class more challenging than Professor Otting did. Regardless, not a difficult class and content is easy to grasp.

Currently working on her final paper, and it does not make sense. The final essay questions ask about policy, when this whole class was based in issues, not policy. Then she asks for multiple sources to be used per answer, when each reading does not relate to the others. It is impossible to give a good response with the given materials. so stupid
