About this rating

Raw average: 2.50/5 from 6 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

He is very understanding of students and he explains concept so thoroughly. He's passionate about the subject and he's passionate about teaching (great combo), and he's one of the best professors at UW-Madison, easily.

Sort of sounds like Ben Shapiro, but is an alright guy.

He is knowledgeable about the material but the lectures get boring, really the discussions are the main part of the class you can't miss, your TA grades the 2 papers you have to write and 2 smaller writing assignments. The weekly quizzes aren't terrible just you have to do some online searching for the answers. not as bad as I thought it would be

Quality 3/5Difficulty 2/5
I enjoyed his lectures, but I found them kind of pointless (since all quizzes were on the readings and assigned videos). He is very nice though and I enjoyed hearing his passionate thoughts on media. Overall, this class is interesting but get ready to read a lot and have a ton of vocab to learn.

Quality 1/5Difficulty 5/5
He seems passionate and knowledgable in his area of studies but he assigns readings as if his class is the only one you're taking. In his lecture he tells you what to focus on in the readings and throughout the week but then the quiz asks very specific questions that have nothing to do with what he told you to focus on. Confusing and frustrating.
