Kept a research class entertaining somehow. Attend lectures: he gives you the blueprint for what will be on exam. Did well tying content into real world application. Did not get the greatest grades but after each exam takes time to clarify his testing system and what he expected on certain answers that majority of class struggled with.

This class was not difficult at all, i attended lecture regularly as well as discussion and it was fine. The exams are not hard and for the final we had a 4 page cheat sheet that was allowed. Great class to get to know more about social work.

Dr. Jan is one of the best professors in the department. He genuinely cares about his students and wants to make sure that everyone learns. Somehow he managed to make a 7:45 am research methods class enjoyable and entertaining. I highly recommend him as a professor.
