Ingrid is knowledgeable, passionate about botany, and genuinely wants students to succeed. However, her lectures felt disorganized. Guides outlined what would be on weekly quizzes, but lectures didn't always explain that content enough. Some topics too complex for a non-major-targeted intro course. Ingrid is a good teacher Her way of explaining things in her lectures is understandable for me. Most importantly, I hate the fact that we're graded based on only the labs and quizzes. But to her defense, there were 14 quizzes in class, if you mess up in one, you can make it up in other quizzes. She is also very considerate of students' hardships.Rate My Professors ↗
The lectures did not include info we were quizzed on all the time which was very frustrating. She created 3-4 hour lectures some weeks when only 50 minutes per week was on my initial school schedule for lecture time. Time-hogged and made it difficult to succeed.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. JT is very knowledgeable about botany and her research. She spends much of the lecture talking about her research/interests instead of lecturing on content. Her lectures were mediocre at best, and you only have to take notes off the lecture slides to get the content. The lectures are straight from the book, so it is not necessary to do both.Rate My Professors ↗
