About this rating

Raw average: 4.53/5 from 314 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Really good professor. He's kind of maybe insane, but gets you engaged in the lecture and teaches the subject in a super interesting and applied way.

Professor Johnson was one of my favorite professors. Definitely the toughest Econ 102 teacher but its worth it. If you care about your education more than you care about getting a good grade take 102 with Johnson.

It has been an honor to have him as my economics professor over the past year in both Econ 301 and Econ 330. Of all the subjects I have studied in college, economics has been the most interesting to me, and he is the reason I want to continue studying economics. the lectures are always engaging, and his passion for teaching really shows!!

Speaks in a demeaning tone to students. I leave with a headache every lecture. Final is 40% of your grade. Not clear at all and jumps around a lot. Some people love him tho

Well, Prof DWJ doesn't just teach from books, he owns the subject. Pure intuition on the chalkboard, turning every lecture into a masterclass that keeps everyone locked in.
