Dan Thoma is an awesome professor. Very important to go to lecture, he gives pop quizzes sometimes, they're super easy but are only able to be done in person. Turning things in on time is important. Explains information thoroughly and tells stories from his personal experience with topics. Loved his class.

Very knowledgeable, accessible, charismatic, and a great professor overall. The lectures were well-organized and engaging. This course was also quite easy compared to other materials science courses. However, it provides a lot of content on materials processing that helps you understand some of the materials' properties.
