About this rating

Raw average: 5.00/5 from 4 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Very easy and stress-free class. Lectures were interesting and covered valuable material. No exams just a couple essays and smaller writing assignments. Lots of discussion in class. Attendance was taken but make-up assignments were offered for extreme cases. Overall engaging and interesting class. Would recommend!

Professor Berman is a really great guy who deeply cares about education. His lectures were really insightful and helpful to the papers that we had to write for the course. Overall really enjoyed him as a prof.

Professor Berman was very knowledgeable about the course and the history of education. You can tell he really values his students and wants to create connections with them. He assigns weekly readings that can be long but are helpful to the course. Two big papers are a majority of the grade. Great professor, I would take a class again in an instant.
