She has a true talent for teaching Philosophy! Class is a large discussion, each week there is a short modern reading and we spend lecture talking with neighbors and giving our ideas to her. She asks questions which naturally lead the discussion to the point she wants to make. Much more engaging than the other 101 profs. You will make many friends!Rate My Professors ↗
Dani has been wonderful! I was a bit wary at the beginning of the semester, since her lectures are very discussion-based, but now, I look forward to going to her class each week. She really cares about each individual in her class and makes sure that everyone's perspectives are heard. There is a very light workload. Participation is crucial!Rate My Professors ↗
The topics that were discussed weren't super engaging and conversations were repetitive, we would spend multiple lectures talking about the same things. It seemed like she called on the same few people for every class discussion, so we weren't getting diverse perspectives. The QCCRs which were the main assignments for the class felt forced.Rate My Professors ↗
There isn't too much work for the class. Shemade us lead discussions but, a lot of times there was one specific point she would want us to hit however she wouldn't lead us there. It got to the point that we would repeat the same things about the lesson over and over. The same people ran the class, and she definitely had favorites.Rate My Professors ↗
This class was structured differently than all of my other classes. She is a very approachable human being and cares most about the success of everyone. Attending lecture is a very important chunk of the grade as well as only a few assignments and readings. Overall, a great teacher to help introduce the subject of philosophy.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Clevenger was super nice, and you could tell she cared about her students. She broke big ideas down into bite-sized pieces and took time to make sure everyone understood. Lots of participation and active learning, and most of the lectures are discussion based.Rate My Professors ↗
